WILDLIFE PAINTINGS
Owen has a passion for painting wild animals, especially in monochrome. They come to life thanks to the care and attention paid to the fine details that make each animal truly unique, whether it be the hair structure of the cat or the lines in a gorilla's face. Over the years from his home in France, Owen has created a vast array of wildlife paintings depicting wild cats, chimps, gorillas, giraffes, wild dogs and many more, often as commissions. PET PORTRAITS
Owen is often asked to paint a beloved dog, cat or horse. He would usually agree but it always depends on the quality of the photograph available. If you have a high quality image of your pet a commissioned pet portrait can make for a wonderful gift or memorial.

FUNKY ANIMALS
This series of paintings came about when Owen was asked by a client to paint a rhino “but make him 'Street art' style”.So, he put the rhino in a hoodie etc. Sometime later, the same client asked Owen to do another, but this time as an elephant, and so the series began.
The differences between this series and the rest of Owen’s paintings, are the inclusion of mixed media and materials, such as felt, leather, and card, layered over the acrylic painting.

ACRYLIC POURS
What are acrylic pours?
Simply put, it’s artwork that is created by blending a number of different coloured acrylic paints on top of one other. In order to get the cell-like structures, oils are used, as well as using different methods including blowing, dragging, and teasing the paints.
When Owen is asked to create a commissioned piece, he needs to know the colour of the wall it is going on, the size required and what colours the client would like. Artwork created by acrylic pour is purely a “one off” piece, as it cannot be created again in the same way.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT
When Owen is not painting, he is busy sculpting, building and inventing new and interesting decorative works, from framed pieces, to stand alone body sculptures, and even lamps. All items are usually created as a creative release rather than as a commission, however, all are available for purchase.
